We wander through Doyle Conservation here in Leominster
all the time but this is the first year
we have seen the bob-o-link in the meadow!
They were not timid at all and we got really close!
LOVE their chittering!

April 2, 2013 - Stopped at the Haynes garrison site in Sudbury on the way home and took a walk down one of the trails... stopped to listen to the spring peepers.. turned around and this guy was coming down the trail behind me lol

Belted Kingfisher

April 1 2013 - Still trying to get a nicer photo of the Belted Kingfishers but they are hard to sneak up on.... I got close to the place they like to perch and hunt and stood quietly for quite a while and the wouldnt come back :(

Painted Turtle

April 1 2013 - Must be spring.. the painted turtles are out sunning themselves and the spring peepers are making lots of noise.

Lesser Scaup

April 1 2013 - Dropped Karen off to work and did my morning look see... This looks to be a Lesser Scaup to me. Will swing by the pond tomorrow and try and get a better picture.
